As an older brand, we felt like our branding was becoming stale (and a little boring) so the team at club52 thought it was time for a refresh to our visual identity. While our previous branding served us well, the rapidly evolving digital landscape demanded a more contemporary approach that would resonate with today's audience.
Our vision for this transformation was clear: create a brand identity that balances playfulness with professionalism; vibrant yet refined. We sought a distinctive icon that could seamlessly integrate with our logo while having enough character to stand alone as an instantly recognisable symbol of clu52.
The result is a revitalised brand that honors our heritage while positioning us confidently for the future. Proof that evolution doesn't mean losing your essence, but rather enhancing it for a new era.


approach
We knew 2 things going into this, we wanted vibrant colours and a fun font-face. This led us to our now iconic club red colour and curvy font face.
However, we didn't want our logo to be as simple as typing into a text box, so we've actually customised each of the letters and numbers to not only sit better with each other but also encapsulate the curve of our new icon into each of the letters making it more appealing on the eys.

the result
We finally ended up with what we're sure you have seen across the website already - and perfectly matches the brief. Fun, vibrant yet professional.
Our logo incorporates the club icon, replacing the typical 'b' whilst maintaining the word flow of the word club52. This then allows us to extend the use of our logo by pulling the club icon out and using this in places where a full logo may not necessarily be the best fit.
Using the new branding guidelines, we also overhauled the entire website to follow suit.
